Selective, cell-permeable mitochondrial division Drp1 inhibitor (IC 50 = 10 μM). Inhibits mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization to prevent apoptosis in vitro . Anti-stroke and neuroprotective agent. Active in vivo and in vitro.
