Diallyl trisulfide (DATS) is an organosulfur compound derived from garlic and other Allium species. It is a decomposition product of allicin formed when garlic is crushed.
Allicin is a sulfur-containing organic compound found in garlic. Like other sulfur-containing compounds, allicin exhibits various biological activities, including antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antihypertensive, and anticancer properties.
