Overview

ddATP (2',3'-Dideoxyadenosine 5'-triphosphate) is an in vitro inhibitor of reverse transcriptases from retroviruses, including HIV-1 and visna (Kis = 20 and 37 nM, respectively). This product is a dideoxynucleotide that serves as a chain-terminating inhibitor of DNA polymerase, is a primary substrate for nucleic acid mass spectrometry kits, and can also be used for Sanger sequencing.
