DL-Panthenol is used in enantiospecific HPLC separation of pantothenic acid, panthenol and pantolactone enantiomers. It promotes stimulation of epithelization, granulation, mitigation of itching and has an anti-inflammatory effect. It is effective for moisturization, improvement of hair structure and adding luster and sheen to the hair.
