Product application: New Methylene Blue N zinc chloride double salt has been used as a photosensitizer for the in vitro photodynamic inactivation of plant-pathogenic fungi Colletotrichum acutatum and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. It has also been used to determine the in vitro susceptibilities of Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Trichophyton rubrum microconidia to photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy (PACT).
